President Unveils New Afghanistan, South Asia Strategy

WASHINGTON — President Donald J. Trump unveiled a new strategy that encompasses Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and South Asia during an address to the nation at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va.

RMTC soldiers refine instructing skills; prep for upcoming ORC

CAMP SHORABAK, AFGHANISTAN — U.S. Marine advisors with Task Force Southwest are developing the teaching skills of Afghan National Army soldiers with the Helmand Regional Military Training Center throughout a four-week train-the-trainer course at Camp Shorabak, Afghanistan.

Task Force Rough Riders completes joint ARFEX training with Iraqi Security Forces

OIR Official Outlines Gains, Pays Tribute to Fallen Soldiers

WASHINGTON — Coalition and partnered forces in Iraq and Syria are making progress against an increasingly desperate, fanatical enemy, a spokesman said in a briefing in which he also paid tribute to two soldiers who died during operations in Iraq.

Army's mobile network aided mission in push toward Mosul

Joint Saudi, US military training wraps up in Tabuk

TABUK, SAUDI ARABIA — Nearly 100 Saudi and U.S. troops gathered for the closing ceremony of the Earnest Leader 17 exercise, held at the Northwest Area Command’s Tactical Training Center near Tabuk, August 1 through 10. Earnest Leader is an annual military to military exercise, conducted with Royal Saudi Land Forces and U.S. Army personnel to promote military cooperation, peacekeeping and participation in regional security programs.

Strength of Spirit: 4th Afghan Border Policemen lead their men no matter the cost

OIR Spokesman: No Safe Havens Left for ISIS in Syria or Iraq

WASHINGTON — With 50 percent of Raqqa, Syria, now under the control of Syrian Defense Forces and holding forces in place in Mosul, Iraq, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria has no safe haven left in either country, an Operation Inherent Resolve spokesman said.
