More than 20 warriors and accompanied guests participated in the 3rd Operation Bass Warrior fishing tournament November 6, in Clewiston, Florida. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) communications branch (J6) chief, Thomas Loftis, a former Clewiston resident and retired Marine, organized the event with a network of friends and family as a way of giving back to those who served and sacrificed.

CRG enables strategic air operations at Qayyarah West

The wheels of a C-130 Hercules touched down at Qayyarah West Airfield Nov. 11. The tactical airlift workhorse, loaded with supplies and equipment to resupply the Mosul offensive, belonged to the Iraqi air force. The landing was much more than routine. It was symbolic. It represented the first time a fixed wing Iraqi aircraft loaded with cargo landed at the strategic airfield since it fell to Da'esh fighters in 2014.

QAYYARAH WEST AIRFIELD, IRAQ - Smoke rose in the distance from an oil field set on fire during the battle between Iraqi security forces and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant as U.S Army Sgt. Addison Owen stood outside his tent. Owen, an infantryman with Company B, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, Task Force Strike, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) is no stranger to Iraq, this is his second time deployed to the country.
