Air Defense Artillery Transfer of Authority Ceremony

The U.S. Army 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Regiment relinquished authority for the Counter Rocket, Artillery and Mortar (C-RAM) mission in Afghanistan to the 5th Battalion (BN), 5th ADA Regiment during a ceremony held here on Wednesday. U.S. Army Maj. Gen. John C. Thomson III, Bagram Airfield commander, presided over the transfer of mission.

Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army partners with USARCENT units

A cool, hazy morning greeted the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army as they welcomed Soldiers visiting from 3rd Battalion, 321st Field Artillery Regiment for a live-fire exercise October 25-26, 2016, an event designed to build stronger bonds for the future. Despite differences in language and leadership styles, the two units were able to overcome these challenges through the use of translators and linguists while weeks of using their equipment together provided the right environment for the teams to overcome any technical differences.

MAKHMOUR, Iraq – Key military leaders from the Iraqi Army, Counter Terrorism Service, Peshmerga forces and the Coalition addressed the media Nov. 1, 2016, during a joint press conference at the Ninawa Operations Complex in Makhmour, Iraq. The meeting validated the unprecedented cooperation between the Iraqi security forces and the Peshmerga as they work together to liberate villages along multiple axis for the Mosul offensive.
