U.S. and French Navies Display Interoperability in Recent Training Evolution

MANAMA, Bahrain -- U.S. Navy and Coast Guard vessels partnered with a French frigate for a three-week interoperability training in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations, Oct. 15 – Nov. 9. USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109), USCGC Wrangell (WPB 1332), USCGC Maui (WPB 1304), USNS Kanawha (T-AO 196) and French frigate FS Courbet (F712) partnered for the training, led by U.S. 5th Fleet’s Task Force (TF) 55, which was designed to assess interoperability in a controlled environment and continue to strengthen the U.S.-French maritime relationship.

U.S. setting up observation posts in Syria to keep ISIS from entering Turkey

WASHINGTON — U.S. forces are establishing observation posts in Northeast Syria to further deny escape routes to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, the spokesman for Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve told Pentagon reporters.

Dunford Reiterates that Reconciliation is Only Viable Path in Afghanistan

US Participates in Bahrain International Airshow 18

SAKHIR AIRBASE, BAHRAIN — U.S. Central Command aviation was on display Nov. 14-16 during the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) at Sakhir Airbase, Bahrain.

New enlistees answer the call to serve

Tampa, Fla. — On November 11th, Veterans Day, more than 130 future service members marched onto the field at halftime to take the Oath of Enlistment in front of thousands of football fans during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers home game against the Washington Redskins at Raymond James Stadium.
