Maintainers ‘push’ AWACS to new levels in fight against ISIS

Exercise Unified Trident brings four nations together to maintain readiness

Naval forces from four allied nations engage in Exercise Unified Trident starting Jan. 31. Unified Trident is a multilateral exercise with the Royal Navy, Royal Australian Navy, French Marine Nationale, and the U.S. Navy that will span the international waters of the Arabian Gulf, incorporate all forms of maritime operations, reinforce relationships with partners and allies, maintain readiness and improve cooperation to ensure the free flow of commerce.

Coalition leaders review Iraqi Ranger training at Camp Taji

The Combined Joint Task Force -- Operation Inherent Resolve's command sergeant major reviewed the Iraqi Ranger training program during a visit to Task Group Taji Jan. 23. Soldiers from New Zealand and Australia direct the training at Camp Taji -- one of four building partner capacity locations run by Coalition forces to enhance the readiness of Iraqi security forces.

816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron answers the call in the Middle East

Handover Ceremony of Huey Helicopter

At a ceremony January 27 in Almaty, the U.S. Mission to Kazakhstan handed over a Huey II Helicopter worth $7 million to the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan. This is the fourth Huey helicopter provided to Kazakhstan through the U.S. Foreign Military Sales Program. U.S. Ambassador George Krol, U.S. Consul General Mark Moody, U.S. Defense Attaché Colonel Ron Hogan, and leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan participated in the ceremony.
