Lebanese student conducts first ‘in seat’ A-29 flight

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, GA — A Lebanese A-29 Super Tucano pilot trainee, from the 81st Fighter Squadron, conducted the first ‘in seat’ training sortie March 22, 2017, here.

USCENTCOM Hosts Security Cooperation Round Table

TAMPA, Fla — USCENTCOM held a Security Cooperation Round Table (CSCRT) 22-24 March 2017.

Local Forces Launch Daring Assault Behind Enemy Lines in Syria

WASHINGTON — Local forces in Syria launched a multi-pronged offensive that included a daring air assault behind enemy lines to liberate Tabqa Dam, located 25 miles upstream from the city of Raqqa, an Operation Inherent Resolve spokesman said.

KABUL, Afghanistan (March 8, 2017) — A doctor walks the corridors of Kabul National Military Hospital as the facility undergoes repairs and improvements. The KNMH is primed to emerge from a recent tragic attack as a state-of-the-art facility for patient care, continuing a long legacy as the biggest and finest military hospital in service of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces. “No matter what happens and how we are tested, we stand next to our soldiers. This is our chance to improve this hospital and to deliver unprecedented capabilities for medical care. We are focused and determined. Our response is one, to take action,” said Dr. Hamid Rahman, director of the Construction Property Management Department at the Afghan Ministry of Defense. “We have high morale. Our soldiers have high morale. This is a better and stronger us.” On March 8, a group of terrorist gunmen disguised as doctors attacked the hospital, killing at least 49 patients, doctors and guards, and injuring more than 60 others. Kabul military hospital undergoing major improvements in wake of attack

KABUL, Afghanistan — Kabul National Military Hospital is primed to emerge from a recent tragic attack as a state-of-the-art facility for patient care, continuing a long legacy as the biggest and finest military hospital in service of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.

The mailroom delivers smiles

TAJI, IRAQ — While Soldiers no longer have to wait weeks to get a message from loved ones back home in the form of a mailed letter thanks to email and social media, technology still cannot replace the joy Soldiers get when they receive a care package from someone back home.

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan (Mar. 17, 2017) - Water plumes greet and honor the final flight of Chief Warrant Officer 4 Joshua Wade Martin as he taxis his C-26 Metroliner to the ramp. Martin is a 28-year Arkansas Army National Guard veteran who will redeploy soon and retire from military service this summer. 28 Years…and One Final Flight

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, AFGHANISTAN — U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 Joshua Wade Martin flew his final flight here, Mar. 17, as a member of the Distinguished Visitor Operations Detachment (DV Ops) of Task Force Thor/206th Military Intelligence Battalion.

Davis, a family nurse practitioner in the U.S. Army Nurse Corp, spoke about the tri-Service, enlisted medical training campus for Army, Navy, and Air Force students and answered questions. USCENTCOM Central Asian Partners Collaborate on Medical Issues

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Representatives from several countries within the U.S. Central Command area of operation attended a CENTCOM theater medical conference March 6-8, 2017 at the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC).

Four A-29 Super Tucanos arrive at Kabul Air Wing, Kabul, Afghanistan, March 20, 2017, before the beginning of the 2017 fighting season. The aircraft will bolster the Afghan Air Force's inventory from eight to 12 A-29s in country. Additional A-29s arrive at Kabul in time for fighting season

Coalition fire departments develop “brotherhood” while supporting OIR

Makin Island Earns Battle E Award

ARABIAN GULF — The deployed amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) received the 2016 Battle Effectiveness (Battle “E”) Award, March 14, marking the second time the ship has received the honor.
