Dunford: Iraqis, Coalition Have Adapted, Continue Attacking ISIS

ABOARD A MILITARY AIRCRAFT — Iraqi and coalition forces will learn from the civilian casualty incident of March 17 and continue to support Iraqi forces taking the fight to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria in Mosul, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

Dunford, Kushner Visit U.S., Iraqi Forces Near Mosul

QAYYARAH WEST AIRFIELD, Iraq — Marine Corps Gen. Joe Dunford, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and Jared Kushner, senior advisor to President Donald J. Trump, received briefings from American and Iraqi service members during a visit to a base 10 miles from the front line in Mosul.

1000 and counting: deployed maintainers fight ISIS with Global Hawk consistency

SOUTHWEST ASIA — A 380th Air Expeditionary Wing EQ-4 Global Hawk, carrying a communications enhancing payload, completed 1000 continuous sorties without occurring a single maintenance cancellation while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve here.

ISIS Hostage-Taking Caught on Video; Mosul Deaths Go To Formal Investigation

WASHINGTON — An Inherent Resolve spokesman said a formal investigation has begun into the March 17 deaths of civilians in western Mosul, Iraq, and will allow task force members to analyze other aspects of the case that have significant bearing, such as strike procedures and the impact of ISIS tactics.

George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group Conducts OIR Missions Against ISIS

ARABIAN GULF (NNS) — The George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is currently launching missions against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) from the Arabian Gulf.

Care for the caregivers

TAJI, IRAQ — Military chaplains and their assistants provide spiritual support to Soldiers, both in a deployed environment and back at home. They are part of a support network for Soldiers going through a hard time or just needing someone to share their thoughts or concerns.

Task Force ODIN Transfer of Authority

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan — Task Force (TF) ODIN officially relinquished the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) mission for all U.S. and coalition forces in Afghanistan during a ceremony held here today, to TF Lightning – the 525th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade (E-MIB) from Fort Bragg, N.C.
