Airmen assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Group at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, hook a fuel hose to a U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the 77th Fighter Squadron from Prince Sultan Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the flight line of AUAB on Nov. 10, 2020. The hot-pit training qualified AUAB Airmen assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Group and the 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron to support 24-hour hot refueling operations on multiple aircraft that rotate through the base. Expeditionary Airmen accelerate change

AL UDEID AIR BASE, QATAR — Heat haze rippled behind the tails of three F-16 Fighting Falcons as they taxied toward the maintenance and logistics Airmen awaiting them on the flight line of Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, on Nov. 10, 2020. Aircrew from the 77th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, deployed to Prince Sultan AB, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, trained for a week with members of the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Group and the 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron on hot refueling.

Senior Enlisted Leader Observes COVID-19 Testing for Patriot Express Passengers

The senior enlisted leader of U.S. Transportation Command visited Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to see the newest testing the Defense Department is conducting to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 from personnel traveling from the United States to overseas duty stations and on deployments.

Spangdahlem F-16 squadron demonstrates deployment capabilities to USCENTCOM

AL DHAFRA AIR BASE, UAE — U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 480th Fighter Squadron, 52nd Fighter Wing, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, arrived here Nov. 12, to enhance U.S. Air Forces Central’s ability to deter aggression and promote security and stability within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Deploying as an instrument of Dynamic Force Employment, the detachment of F-16s along with squadron personnel from Spangdahlem AB will rapidly integrate into theater air training, as well as joint, coalition and partnered missions. The unit's presence highlights the Air Force's ability to rapidly deploy and employ forces anywhere around the globe at any moment.

Carrier Strike Group 11 destroyers support maritime security in U.S. 5th Fleet

U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY — The guided-missile destroyers USS Sterett (DDG 104), USS Ralph Johnson (DDG 114) and USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53) are supporting Coalition Task Force (CTF) Sentinel, the British-led operational arm of the International Maritime Security Construct (IMSC).

Coalition Task Force Sentinel Conducts Joint Exercise in the Arabian Gulf

MANAMA, BAHRAIN — Coalition Task Force (CTF) Sentinel executed combined exercise Sentinel Shield in the Arabian Gulf, which showcased the interoperability between coalition warships supporting Sentry and Sentinel patrols in the coalition’s area of operations Oct. 27.

USAFCENT mentors Qatar Emiri Air Force in TACP program development
