Iowa Soldiers make history in U.S. Army air defense mission [6 of 6]
U.S. Army Spc. Kristian Kelly, a small arms artillery repair specialist, is recognized with fellow Soldiers, all from the 1st Battalion, 194th Field Artillery, for their support in defending the base from enemy rockets and unmanned aerial vehicles by Al Asad Air Base commander Col. Mark Coble, 734th Regional Support Group, at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, on June 12, 2021. The Iraqi-owned base houses Coalition forces, and was a target of multiple attacks between March and July 2021.
