SICILY, Italy– Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, commander, U.S. Central Command, center, poses for a photo with United Kingdom Carrier Strike Group leaders aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth June 14, 2021. Gen. McKenzie boarded the British Royal Navy ship from the Port of Augusta, the first in a series of port visits en route to the Mediterranean for the HMS Queen Elizabeth’s first operational deployment. The aircraft carrier launches F-35B Joint Strike Fighters operated and maintained by U.S. and British servicemembers.
