Female Gladiator Sailors Claim Historic First
170514-N-XP344-068 ARABIAN GULF (May 14, 2017) Lt. Cmdr. Rebecca Wolf, USS Gladiator's (MCM 11) executive officer, maintains radio contact with crew onboard the Gladiator during shipboard operations in the Arabian Gulf. Gladiator, one of four MCM ships forward deployed to Bahrain and attached to U.S. Naval Forces Central Command's Task Force 52, is a mine sweeper/hunter-killer capable of finding, classifying and destroying mines preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
