Humanitarian law in the fight against ISIS
Col. Mohammad Hami Moussa, an Iraqi commander, inspects the first graduating company of a unique, multi-tribe Iraqi force, the A'ali Al Furat Brigade, at a training ground in Western Iraq, Jan 7, 2017. The A'ali Al Furat Brigade, which has nearly 200 fighters from more than 20 tribes - the first multi-tribe unit formed in Iraq, is the first recorded tribal unit to receive Law of Armed Conflict and rules of engagement training specifically from a U.S. military Judge Advocate General through coordination with Coalition partners. CJTF-OIR is the global Coalition to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
