Aerial Refueling F-15 Strike Eagles
A U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft assigned to the 391st Expeditionary Fighter Squadron refuels from a KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft over the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Oct. 11, 2025. U.S., Regional Partners Open New Air Defense Operations Cell in Qatar
U.S. Army Central (ARCENT) and the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces conducted the fourth iteration of the Red Sands Integrated Experimentation Center at the Shamal 2 Range near the King Khalid Military Center in northern Saudi Arabia Sept. 7-18, 2025. This exercise represented the culmination of rapid prototyping and integrated defensive tactics developed since the inaugural U.S.-Saudi experimental demonstration in 2023.

USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) Transits the Arabian Gulf
ARABIAN GULF (Jan. 11, 2026) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) transits the Arabian Gulf while operating in the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility. Roosevelt is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to support maritime security and stability in the CENTCOM area of responsibility. U.S. CENTCOM Noncommissioned Officers receive GTCC Military Appreciation Award
U.S. Marine Sgt. Jordan Belser (sixth from the right) and U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Kyle Dalton (ninth from the right), 2017 Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce - U.S. Central Command Noncommissioned Officers of the Year, pose for a group photo at the GTCC Military Appreciation awards ceremony in Tampa on February 22. Sgt. Belser distinguished himself over the past year by volunteering more than twenty hours per week for a local nonprofit youth outreach organization. Sgt. Belser utilized his skills in public affairs and marketing to manage social media accounts, provide imagery and video products and create a new website, leading to an increase in charitable contributions for the organization. Staff Sgt. Dalton dedicated more than 100 hours in the service of the Tampa Bay community by helping conserve the marine environment, constructing homes and providing military honors. U.S. Central Command is proud of Sgt. Belser, Staff Sgt. Dalton and all of the award winners for their dedication and service to the Tampa Bay community.
