KC-46 completes first around-the-world flight

A KC-46A from the 22nd Air Refueling Wing completed the Pegasus’ first flight around the world Nov. 13-26. The first global circumnavigation for the KC-46A Pegasus provided extensive training opportunities for maintainers and aircrew at multiple locations on a seven-leg, 13-day journey that included its debut at the 2019 Dubai Air Show (DAS).

A Griffin missile is launched from the patrol coastal ship USS Hurricane (PC 3) during a test of the MK-60 Griffin guided-missile system. The exercise demonstrated a proven capability for the ships to defend against small boat threats and ensure maritime security through key chokepoints in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.

Griffin Missile Exercise 2019

U.S. Navy coastal patrol ships and U.S. Coast Guard patrol boats conducted an annual test of the MK-60 Griffin guided-missile system in the Arabian Gulf Dec. 10-14. The annual exercise was conducted with the improved Griffin Missile System (GMS) to test ship interoperability, weapon tactics employment, and new system upgrades.

12.13.2019 — Building relationships in Southwest Asia require in-person meetings, growing knowledge, continued partnerships and security cooperation. "Continuing our relationship with the Royal Jordanian Air Force was our main focus with this visit. In the future, we will be coordinating efforts and sharing knowledge, leading to a continuous, consistent relationship deepening relationships within both forces," said Col. Syrian Logistics Cell – Supporting the Warfighter

IRAQ — The 103rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command (ESC), the Syrian Logistics Cell (SLC), located in Erbil, Iraq, is composed of a small team of Soldiers who pack a big punch when it comes to supporting the warfighters in Syria.

U.S. Forces reset in Syria, ISIS struggles to re-form

BAGHDAD, Iraq — U.S. forces are reset and repostured in Eastern Syria and have restarted operations with the Syrian Democratic Forces aimed at defeating ISIS, Army Lt. Gen. Robert White, the commander of Combined Joint Operation Inherent Resolve, said last week in Baghdad.

Nearly 5,000 turkeys to feed overseas troops this Thanksgiving

FORT MEADE, Md. — Deployed Soldiers will get a taste of home this Thanksgiving after months of planning by logistics personnel to deliver tons of meat and fixings for the traditional meals.

USCENTCOM commander addresses maritime security

MANAMA, BAHRAIN — U.S. Marine Corps Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., commander, U.S. Central Command, addressed maritime security in the Middle East at the 15th Regional Security Summit of the IISS Manama Dialogue, Nov. 23, 2019.
