Harlem Hell Fighters assume command of Middle East mission

CAMP ARIFJAN, KUWAIT — The New York National Guard’s historic 369th Sustainment Brigade, famously known as the “Harlem Hell Fighters,” participated in a transfer of authority ceremony here on October 26, 2016 with the outgoing 17th Sustainment Brigade out of Las Vegas, Nevada.

USAF, RAAF accelerate fight against Da’esh

The international relations between allied forces in support of the Mosul Offensive are proving to be essential in the success of Operation Inherent Resolve.

Strong partnership highlights cooperation for Mosul offensive

MAKHMOUR, Iraq – Key military leaders from the Iraqi Army, Counter Terrorism Service, Peshmerga forces and the Coalition addressed the media Nov. 1, 2016, during a joint press conference at the Ninawa Operations Complex in Makhmour, Iraq. The meeting validated the unprecedented cooperation between the Iraqi security forces and the Peshmerga as they work together to liberate villages along multiple axis for the Mosul offensive.

Pentagon Hails Progress, Momentum in Mosul Fight

WASHINGTON — Iraqi security forces and Kurdish Peshmerga fighters are making progress as they push toward Mosul in the effort to liberate the city from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, the Pentagon's press secretary said today.

MACDILL AFB, Fla. (October 25, 2016) – U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Edward F. Dorman III, director for logistics, J-4, U.S. Central Command (center left) and his team of CENTCOM engineers welcomed U.S. Army Sgt. Corey M. Robinson (center right) to the headquarters and made him an honorary CENTCOM engineer. Robinson, an ROTC cadet at Tennessee Tech University and a member of the Tennessee National Guard, was involved in a near-fatal motor vehicle accident while transiting to Camp Shelby, Mississippi. Iraqis Clear Areas Outside Mosul Before Advancing To Liberate City

WASHINGTON — In the operation to liberate Iraq’s second-largest city from the control of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, Iraqi and Kurdish forces continue clearing and back-clearing areas around Mosul before they advance to the city, the Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve spokesman told reporters today.

Iraqi, Kurdish Forces Approaching Outskirts of Mosul

WASHINGTON — Pentagon Press Operations director Navy Capt. Jeff Davis told reporters Iraqi and Kurdish forces are about 5 miles from Mosul’s outskirts and are clearing towns and villages to the north, east and south of Iraq’s second-largest city.

17SB completes Middle East mission

CAMP ARIFJAN, KUWAIT — The 17th Sustainment Brigade, 451st Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), 1st Sustainment Command (Theater), has completed its nine-month deployment in the Middle East with a ceremony transferring authority to the New York National Guard’s 369th Sustainment Brigade on October 26, 2016.

OIR Commander Cites Momentum in Mosul Push; Raqqa Isolation to Begin 'Soon'
