French Rafale in the Middle East Support Iraqi Forces

This April 4th, French fighters of the air base on the Middle East supported Iraqis in their fight against Daesh. French Rafale are engaged on a daily basis for the Coalition, in Iraq as in Syria for operation Inherent Resolve (OIR). Flying days and nights, Rafale’s pilots totally contribute to reduce the military Daesh potential and to support the ground troops against the terrorist group through oversight and information missions, but also with air strikes.

Abraham Lincoln transits Suez Canal

The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), the Alvaro de Bazan-class frigate ESPS Mendez Nunez (F 104), the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55) and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile cruiser USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) departed the U.S. 6th Fleet and entered the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.

Success of first SFAB in Afghanistan proves ‘Army got it right,’ commander says

The 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade deployed in March 2018 to Afghanistan to carry out the inaugural mission for the newly-created SFAB concept. The brigade returned in November, and they now say their experience there has proven successful. It's what the Army hoped to accomplish with the new kind of training units.

Heavy Equipment Transporter System Subject Matter Exchange II

Familiar faces and familiarization training is how day one of the Heavy Equipment Transport System (HETS) subject matter exchange began, with U.S. Army Soldiers introducing themselves to members of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO). Some Omani Soldiers needed no introduction from the instructors, as they attended the initial training given in January.
