Afghan National Army medics take on mass casualty training event

CAMP SABALU-HARRISON, Afghanistan — With the loud “Boom!” of an improvised explosive device, all of a sudden there are eight simulated casualties on the Afghan National Army camp. A few short seconds later, the ANA medics race from the Troop Medical Center (TMC) to respond to the casualties, ranging from head injuries, amputated arms and legs, and open chest wounds.
