This is package story of 1st Battalion 23rd Infantry Regiment Forward Logistics Element Soldiers based out of Joint Base McChord-Lewis, WA training on the Valon at Forward Operating Base Zangabad, Afghanistan. The Valon is a handheld device used by dismounted soldiers to detect improvised explosive devices (IED’s) and land mines.
