U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) commenced Operation Epic Fury at the direction of the President of the United States. CENTCOM forces are striking targets to dismantle the Iranian regime's security apparatus, prioritizing locations that pose an imminent threat.

A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft crew assigned to the 32nd Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron refuels a U.S. Navy P-8 Poseidon aircraft in the sky over the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Oct. 15, 2025. The P-8 Poseidon aircraft is a multi-mission maritime patrol and reconnaissance platform used for anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, and intelligence collection. The KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft provides global reach aerial refueling capability, enabling U.S. and partner nation aircraft to extend range and endurance throughout CENTCOM.
