Operation Epic Fury

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) commenced Operation Epic Fury at the direction of the President of the United States. CENTCOM forces are striking targets to dismantle the Iranian regime's security apparatus, prioritizing locations that pose an imminent threat.

B0roll of 4/70th Armor Battalion Assumption of Command Ceremony. Lt. Col. Sean Fisher of Deerville Beach, Fla. took over a battalion that has been without a commander for over a month and a half. Maj. Gregg Haley Executive Officer from St. Louis, Mo. ran the 4/70 while the battalion was without a commander. The former commander Lt. Col. David Oeschger was injured in an attack on Tarin Kot, along with eight other soldiers from the 4/70th. Lt. Col. Oeschger is back with his family in Germany with his family, recovering from his injuries. Col. Bob Akam Commander Combined Team Uruzgan from San Antonio, TX oversaw the event. Col. Akam spoke on behalf of the 4/70th with Lt. Col. Fisher. He spoke of the campaigns the battalion has been in, and of the great things the battalion is doing in Southern Afghanistan.
