Operation Epic Fury

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) commenced Operation Epic Fury at the direction of the President of the United States. CENTCOM forces are striking targets to dismantle the Iranian regime's security apparatus, prioritizing locations that pose an imminent threat.

U.S. Air National Guard Airmen assigned to the 106th Rescue Wing, New York Air National Guard, perform a pre-flight check on an HC-130J Combat King II search and rescue aircraft assigned to the unit’s 102nd Rescue Squadron during exercise Resolute Force Pacific (REFORPAC) 2025 at Misawa Air Base, Japan, July 17, 2025. The 106th Rescue Wing is serving as a real-world rescue asset in support of REFORPAC, a first-in-a-generation Department-Level Exercise involving more than 400 joint and coalition aircraft and more than 12,000 members at more than 50 locations across 3,000 miles.
