Operation Epic Fury

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) commenced Operation Epic Fury at the direction of the President of the United States. CENTCOM forces are striking targets to dismantle the Iranian regime's security apparatus, prioritizing locations that pose an imminent threat.

CH Phipps sits down with COL Todd Hertling, the current brigade commander for 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. COL Hertling spent some of his formative years in Sabre Squadron, 3d CR during the early stages of the Global War on Terror. Together, they discuss some of the dynamic shifts that have occurred over the last twenty years within 3d CR's organizational composition, the Transforming in Contact Initiative, and employing armor assets in the midst of LSCO.
