Maj. Gen. Erik Kurilla, the 82nd Airborne Division outgoing commander, relinquished command of the "All American" division to Maj. Gen. James Mingus, the 82nd Airborne Division incoming commander, during a change of command ceremony at Pike Field on Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Maj. Gen. Erik Kurilla, the 82nd Airborne Division outgoing commander, passes the division colors to Lt. Gen. Paul LaCamera, the 18th Airborne Corps commander, during a change of command ceremony at Pike Field on Fort Bragg, North Carolina Aug. 2, 2018. This marks the end of Kurilla's time as the commander of America's Guard of Honor.
Maj. Gen. James Mingus, the 82nd Airborne Division incoming commander, receives the division colors from Lt. Gen. Paul LaCamera, the 18th Airborne Corps commander, during a change of command ceremony at Pike Field on Fort Bragg, North Carolina Aug. 2, 2018. This signifies the beginning of Mingus's time at the commander of the All American division.
Kurilla's will continue to serve the Army at the United Stated Central Command, but will forever be a paratrooper of the division.
Mingus comes to the division from the Mission Command Center of Excellence at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
