U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) learn how to do a hip-rappel seat and hook-up, lock-in and belay procedures during Air Assault School at Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, Romania, May 19, 2025. The Air Assault course qualifies Soldiers in air assault helicopter operations, including aircraft orientation, sling load operations, rappelling from buildings, helicopters and fast rope techniques, making Soldiers improve warfighting capabilities if ever called upon.
