U.S. Army Lt. Col. Kyle Thompson, commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division and Command Sgt. Maj. Daarius Jackson, senior enlisted leader HHBN, talk about Marne Hero Days at Boleslawiec, Poland, Nov. 20, 2025. Marne Hero Days honors 3rd ID's initial formation at Camp Greene, North Carolina, Nov. 21, 1917, in response to WWI. The day's events included a group physical fitness competition that consisted of burpees, squats, bear crawls, high knees, a mile run and push-ups.
