USS Carney departs Alexandria, Egypt

ALEXANDRIA, EGYPT — The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) departed Alexandria, Egypt, Jan. 17, 2018, after a port visit that enhanced relationships between the Egyptian Navy and the U.S. Navy.

1st SFAB combat advisor teams train for upcoming Afghanistan deployment

FORT POLK, La. — The convoy of American Soldiers and their Afghan counterparts came to a sudden halt as a group of Afghan villagers crowded the road. With raised voices, the villagers claimed that U.S. forces had attacked their livestock, and vehemently stated that they would not let the convoy pass until they received compensation for their damaged property.

Millions Liberated From ‘Evil of ISIS,’ OIR Official Says

NATO, Partner Defense Chiefs Discuss Afghanistan, Iraq, Command Structures

Pentagon Spokesman Details Progress in Defeating ISIS

WASHINGTON — Coalition and partnered forces are building on progress in Iraq and Syria to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, the director of press operations at the Pentagon told reporters.

US, coalition forces ready to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS in 2018

SOUTHWEST ASIA — Today, the 70 nations and four organizations that comprise the coalition that is dedicated to the defeat of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria reflect on progress made in 2017 and look forward to 2018, Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve officials reported Monday.

Coalition engineers erect steel bridge in Raqqah

RAQQAH, SYRIA — Engineers attached to the Special Operations Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve led the effort, which allows the Raqqah Internal Security Force to provide security to the people of Raqqah and facilitates greater humanitarian assistance and relief efforts there.
