OIR Spokesman Reports Progress in Defeating ISIS in Syria, Iraq

Mattis Honors Army Rangers Killed in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON — The two Army Rangers who died in Afghanistan willingly went into harm's way to fight the enemy and defend the United States and its freedoms, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said.

Votel Discusses Key Role of Logistics in Spectrum of Conflict

WASHINGTON — The services have put a heavy demand on their logisticians over 15-plus years of conflict, and senior leaders must assess the impacts of that demand and make improvements over time, the commander of U.S. Central Command said.

ISIS Hostage-Taking Caught on Video; Mosul Deaths Go To Formal Investigation

WASHINGTON — An Inherent Resolve spokesman said a formal investigation has begun into the March 17 deaths of civilians in western Mosul, Iraq, and will allow task force members to analyze other aspects of the case that have significant bearing, such as strike procedures and the impact of ISIS tactics.

OIR Spokesman: Iraqi Forces Remain Resolute in Counter-ISIS Fight
