U.S. Forces and Bahrain Defense Force Completed Neon Response 19

MANAMA, Bahrain — U.S. forces and members of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) participated in exercise Neon Response 19 in Bahrain from 9-14 June 2019.

GULF OF OMAN (June 13, 2019) Sailors aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) render aid to the crew of the M/V Kokuka Courageous. Bainbridge is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet areas of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points. Bainbridge Answers Distress Call

GULF OF OMAN — GULF OF OMAN (June 13, 2019) - The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) responded to a distress call from the M/V Kokuka Courageous in the Gulf of Oman the morning of June 13.

Staff Sgt. Stephen Frazier, an infantryman in 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, is pinned with an Expert Infantryman Badge during a ceremony at Camp Buehring, Kuwait on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Frazier and 60 other infantry Soldiers deployed throughout the U.S. Army Central area of operations earned their EIB after completing a week of thorough testing with 3rd ABCT at Camp Buehring.

3rd ABCT Hosts Expert Infantryman Badge Testing in Kuwait

CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait — While on rotation in support of Operation Spartan Shield, the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division hosted Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB) testing, inviting infantry Soldiers deployed across the U.S. Central Command area of operations to train and compete for their badge.

Bomber Task Force Participates in Joint Exercise with Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group

ARABIAN SEA — A U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortress, assigned to the 20th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron and part of the U.S. Central Command Bomber Task Force, and the Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7, attached to the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group conducted joint operations in the CENTCOM area of responsibility, June 1.

Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group (ABECSG) and Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (KSGARG) conduct joint operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. Abraham Lincoln CSG and Kearsarge ARG conduct joint operations in U.S. 5th Fleet

ARABIAN SEA (NNS) — The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group (ABECSG) and the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (KSGARG), with the embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), conducted joint operations May 17-18.

Army GLOs enable joint combat power, battlefield safety

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — The U.S. Department of Defense receives a significant amount of its intelligence from the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System, which simply put, is an enterprise of globally networked analysts and cyber professionals linked together by a global communications architecture.

Flying days and nights, Rafale’s pilots totally contribute to reduce the military Daesh potential and to support the ground troops against the terrorist group through oversight and information missions, but also with air strikes.

CENTCOM’s Inaugural Conference Successfully Builds Middle East Intelligence Relationships, Promoting Intelligence Professionalization and Interoperability

Tampa, Fla. – United States Central Command recently hosted a Middle East Directors of Military Intelligence Conference that brought together senior leaders from more than a dozen nations to forge alliances and develop and sustain partnerships.

The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN72) sails under the Peace Bridge while transiting the Suez Canal. The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group (ABECSG) is deployed to U.S. Central Command area of responsibility in order to defend American forces and interests in the region. Abraham Lincoln transits Suez Canal

RED SEA (NNS) — The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), the Alvaro de Bazan-class frigate ESPS Mendez Nunez (F 104), the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55) and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile cruiser USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) departed the U.S. 6th Fleet and entered the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.

Success of first SFAB in Afghanistan proves ‘Army got it right,’ commander says

WASHINGTON — The 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade deployed in March 2018 to Afghanistan to carry out the inaugural mission for the newly-created SFAB concept. The brigade returned in November, and they now say their experience there has proven successful. It's what the Army hoped to accomplish with the new kind of training units.
