MRAP fires a Counter-Unmanned Aerial System
U.S. CENTRAL COMMAND AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Jan. 26, 2026) U.S. Navy Lt. Cdr. Michael La Pietra, counter-unmanned aerial systems officer, speaks with Rear Adm. Matthew Kawas, Deputy Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, and Bahrain Defense Force leadership after a mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicle equipped with a mobile-low, slow, small-unmanned aircraft integrated defeat system (M-LIDS) launcher fires a C-UAS at a fixed wing target during a training exercise in Bahrain. This bilateral training between U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and the Bahrain Defense Force improves collaboration and interoperability between the U.S. and Bahrain.
