U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) commenced Operation Epic Fury at the direction of the President of the United States. CENTCOM forces are striking targets to dismantle the Iranian regime's security apparatus, prioritizing locations that pose an imminent threat.

ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 10, 2015) U.S. Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force execute a night deck shoot aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). The Marines practiced shooting at night to enhance their speed and accuracy while shooting in low-light conditions. The 15th MEU, embarked on the ships of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl.
