SAREX is an exercise that focuses on understanding procedures for searching, locating, and rescuing individuals or vessels in distress. It's a training event for emergency services and organizations involved in search and rescue operations.. Our state and federal partners collaborated exceptionally well on multiple complex scenarios. Teams sharpened rapid response skills and life-saving procedures — and bolstered readiness across agencies. Here’s a look at some of the highlights of their tactics and training, which made the three-day event a success.
