Hilliard Plantation
Fort Benning Public Affairs Office
May 30, 2019 | 2:35
Chattahoochee Fall Line WMA is an 11,400-acre area located in Marion and Talbot Counties. The Hilliard Plantation Tract is the newest addition to the CFLWMA and is 7,089 acres.
With over 2,000 acres of natural native pine and hardwoods stands, including longleaf pine and hardwood bottoms, and about 3,000 acres of managed pine plantations, the Hilliard Plantation Tract has enormous potential for ecological restoration and expanded recreational use.
Activities available on the area could include fishing, wildlife watching, and hunting for deer, turkey, and small game species.
