Within the Coast Guard, Mission Support is where ‘Semper Paratus’ begins. The mission support enterprise provides seamless, timely, and responsive support to Coast Guard operations. The Mission Support Business Model (MSBM) is the framework for how we work as one synchronous team to support our missions. The MSBM is guided by the principles of Accountability, Predictability, Efficiency and Transparency help the Coast Guard run seamlessly across operations and logistics.
The United States Coast Guard Mission Support Business Model (MSBM) provides a mission-focused, unified, and disciplined approach to mission support delivery through four interrelated cornerstones. The cornerstones are Product and Service Line Management, Configuration Management, Bi-level Support, and Total Asset Visibility.
