U.S. Soldiers place signs along the Texas National Defense Area
DoD Southern Border 2025
May 6, 2025 | 2:51
U.S. Soldiers, from 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, assigned to Joint Task Force - Southern Border (JTF-SB), place signage marking the National Defense Area along the southern border near Clint, Texas, May 6, 2025. The nighttime operation succeeded in placing 150 signs along 30 kilometers of the southern border in Texas. Under the direction of U.S. Northern Command, JTF-SB aligns efforts to seal the southern border and repel illegal activity and is responsible for full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations, which allow for more effective and efficient DoD operations.
