RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – On Nov. 16, 2022, as part of an ongoing multi-country trip to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Gen. Michael “Erik” Kurilla, commander of CENTCOM, attended a military joint planning committee meeting hosted by Royal Saudi Chief of General Staff, Gen. Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili. Senior leaders and staff from both countries attended the discussions. They discussed opportunities to bolster bilateral U.S.-Saudi military cooperation and advance the security and stability of the Middle East alongside regional military partners.
“CENTCOM is committed to our military partners in the region and to the U.S.-Saudi military-to-military relationship,” said Kurilla. “Our commitment to the security of the region is unwavering and enduring.”
