CENTCOM colonel earns first star

MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – Army Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, commander of U.S. Central Command, and Patty George pin on the one-star shoulder boards for Brig. Gen. Randy George during his promotion ceremony here Sept. 27.  George, who’s served 25 years, currently serves as the executive officer to the USCENTCOM commander.  George, a graduate of the United States Military Academy, is one of seven members of his graduating class to be promoted to the general officer ranks.
