Native Fury: Strengthening Military Partnerships and Readiness in the Arabian Gulf

Exercise Native Fury 24 is a critical multi-lateral and biennial exercise sponsored by U.S. Central Command and executed by U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command in collaboration with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. It aims to enhance interoperability, readiness, and cooperation between the participating forces. 
The Objectives and Significance of this exercise are: 
1—Enhancing Readiness: Native Fury focuses on the rapid deployment of U.S. forces and equipment in the region. It stimulates the quick response capabilities needed to address potential threats and crises. 
2—Improving interoperability: The exercise helps improve coordination and interoperability between the U.S. forces and those of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. By working together, these forces can better understand each other’s tactics, techniques, and procedures. 
3—Strengthening Partnerships: Native Fury underscores the strong military partnerships between the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. It reinforces mutual commitments to regional security and stability.
4—Demonstrating Capabilities: The exercise showcases the capabilities of the U.S. military and its partners, including logistics, command and control, and combined arms operations. It often involves live-fire exercises and complex maneuvers. 
The last iteration – a three-week long exercise in May 24 that executed various dynamic training events, including, a long-distance convoy in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. In recent exercises, Native Fury has involved thousands of U.S. Marines and Sailors alongside their Saudi and Emirati counterparts. These iterations have included complex scenarios designed to test the full spectrum of combat and support operations.
