Advisory: AFCENT Innovation Day

By Ninth Air Force (Air Forces Central) Ninth Air Force (Air Forces Central)

Ninth Air Force (Air Forces Central) is hosting an AFCENT Innovation Day on Feb. 15 at the Carolina Skies Club at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina.

This will be a one-day event with an opportunity for defense, intelligence, communications, and technology companies to host a booth and offer capabilities or solutions for air domain awareness, counter-UAS threats, joint targeting, and communications in degraded environments.

Also, there will be a luncheon sponsored by Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) mid-day with a guest speaker on innovation, as well as a social. To receive more information on the AFCEA luncheon or RSVP, please email afceapalmettochapter@gmail.com or Lt Nicholas Blessing at nicholas.h.blessing.mil@mail.mil. To receive more information on the social or RSVP, please email Lt Ikerria Sanders at ikerria.z.sanders.mil@mail.mil.

For more information on Innovation Day and the problem sets AFCENT is looking to focus on, please contact the following individuals: Capt Lauren Linscott, lauren.linscott@afcent.af.mil; Lt Col Michael Quinn michael.j.quinn44.mil@mail.mil; Lt Col Erin Brilla, erin.brilla.2@afcent.af.mil; or Lt Col Noemi Antedomenico, noemi.antedomenico.mil@mail.mil, Comm 803-717-5995.

For the opportunity to provide industry solutions to the above problems, a capability statement will be required by Jan. 26. Notifications to selected organizations will be made by Feb. 2. If selected, during industry day, your company can brief a private government audience. Disclaimer: References to non-federal entities do not constitute or imply Department of Defense or Air Force endorsement of any company or organization.

Due to venue space limitations, there can only be 20 booths and capability statements will be reviewed to determine which companies AFCENT approves to have a booth. Companies which are not approved to have a booth may still attend.  Notifications to selected organizations will be made by Feb. 2.

*Additional information will be provided for those approved to have a booth concerning booth dimensions, location, and other pertinent details.
