A column of U.S. Army M1A2 Abrams tanks from the 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Armored Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, await the star of the final combined arms live fire exercise of Bright Star 2017. Exercise Bright Star 2017 is a bilateral U.S. Central Command command-post exercise, field training exercise and senior leader seminar, held with the Arab Republic of Egypt. Participation strengthens military-to-military relationships between U.S. and Egyptian forces in the Central Command area of responsibility.
