Day Zero: Journey to earn Air Assault wings
U.S. Servicemembers line up to complete the confidence climb obstacle (right), during day zero of U.S. Army Central’s first Air Assault Course, April 4, 2017, at Camp Beuhring, Kuwait. The Air Assault Course is a 12-day class that allows U.S. military personnel in the USARCENT theater of operations the unique opportunity to become air assault qualified, while deployed outside the continental United States. “Once completed, the perspective student goes on to become the subject matter expert to their company or unit commander assisting them with planning for air assault operations into whatever environment they may need,” said Capt. Ronald Snyder, Company B commander, Army National Guard Warrior Training Center.
