A Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve precision strike destroyed an ISIS command and control facility in a mosque in eastern Syria, on Jan. 24, 2019. ISIS continues to violate the Law of Armed Conflict and misuse protected structures like hospitals and mosques, which causes a facility to lose its protected status.
This strike killed ISIS terrorists who were using the facility as a command structure from which they were actively attacking our Syrian partner forces.
