About Exercise Eagle Resolve
Eagle Resolve is an annual, multi-national exercise designed to enhance regional cooperative defense efforts of the GCC and U.S. Central Command.Participants
In addition to the U.S., Eagle Resolve includes GCC states. They are Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Al Raya Newspaper: Armed forces ends the preparation phase for Eagle Resolve Exercise
Raya news paper reports in its Sunday edition that the Qatari armed forces ended the preparation stage for Eagle Resolve Exercise 2009 and began the first phase of the exercise which is called “command post exercise” in participation of nations of GCC, the United States and some brotherly and friendly countries. The paper added that the Eagle Resolve is an exercise for crisis management and counter-terrorism and aims to strengthen cooperation between the State of Qatar and the participating States.

Al Sharq: Qatari and American forces participate in Eagle Resolve
The newspaper Al Sharq reports on the commencement of exercise Eagle Resolve. The director of the exercise, Commander Abdullah Jaman al Hamad, lauded this "great opportunity for Qatar to host the Eagle Resolve events, because working together with the U.S. forces and the other Gulf nations improves the defensive capabilities within the area, and the process reflects the cooperative spirit among the Gulf nations and the U.S."

Al Arab newspaper reports on the opening of Eagle Resolve, writing that the exercise "aims to enforce the regional cooperative defense efforts that the GCC and American Central Command provide."
