Support to the Global War on TerrorThe Armenian Government is fully committed to the war on terror. One of the main objectives of national foreign policy is support of international peace and stability, as well as an input to the international efforts of fight against terrorism. Participating in international conventions against terrorism, Armenia thoroughly implements their provisions. Armenia provides political and operational support to the international anti-terrorist coalition, and condemns terrorism in all its forms. In 2004 Armenia joined the following anti-terrorist conventions: Convention on the Prohibition and prevention of terrorism, International Convention on Suppression of terrorist bombing, International Convention for the financing of terrorism. Further PlansArmenia is determined to strengthen its capabilities to combat terrorism and intends to enhance it’s capabilities to manage the consequences caused by terrorist acts.
