CAMP PHOENIX, Afghanistan — U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Ural Glanville received his first star in a ceremony October 23 at the Headquarters of the Combined Joint Interagency Task Force (CJIATF) 435, as Brig. Gen. Glanville’s family watched via the Internet from the United States. U.S. Marine Corps General John Allen, commander, International Security Assistance Force Afghanistan, pinned the star on Brig. Gen. Glanville. “This is an honor to be able to promote this great soldier, this great leader. I’m deeply honored to be able to officiate at this moment,” said Gen. Allen.
