Welcome to the new CENTCOM.mil

By Marine Major Andrew Michael Aranda, U.S. Central Command

Thank you for visiting the new CENTCOM.mil!

In order to better inform and educate the public about CENTCOM's mission as a geographic combatant command, the website has been redesigned and more information about our Area of Responsibility (AOR) is available.

Along the top of the page you will see a new menu.  Each menu item is explained below:

Click on the "About Us" section to learn more about the following:

  • The Mission and Vision Statements for the Command
  • The Command's history
  • Official photos and biographies for the CENTCOM Leadership
  • Details about each Component Command
  • The "Posture Statement" that GEN Austin gave to the U.S. Congress in March, 2016 which explains how the U.S. Military is working with our partners in the region

Click on the "Area of Responsibility" section for an interactive map of the Levant, Gulf States, and Central/South Asian regions or hover your pointer over it for a drop down link to learn more about the "CENTCOM Coalition" - over 50 partner nations that have joined the US in ensuring peace and stability in the AOR.

Click on "Operations and Exercises" to learn more about current missions and training in the CENTCOM AOR.

Click on "Media" to read the latest news and press releases from the AOR and search the archives as well.

If you click on "Social Media" you will see a list of many of CENTCOM's and our supporting units' social media accounts. They are listed there to better allow the public to learn what the U.S. Military is doing, right from the source!

"Visitors and Personnel" provides information for newcomers to CENTCOM and MacDill AFB.
