Exercise Regional Cooperation 2014 Kicks Off

TAMPA, Fla. - U.S. Central Command, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, and forces from other partner nations, will conduct a command-post exercise at Camp Edwards located on Joint Base Cape Cod, Massachusetts, September 17-24, 2014.

Exercise Regional Cooperation 2014, which has been conducted annually since 2004, includes five different nations and more than 200 participants. Preparations for the exercise began in mid-July, 2013. The last exercise was held July 8-18, 2013 in Garmisch, Germany.

The exercise provides participating nations with the opportunity to promote cooperation and interoperability among participating forces, build functional capacity, practice peacekeeping operations and enhance readiness.
