U.S. Forces Conduct Joint Aviation Integration Exercise in Arabian Gulf
200924-A-RX269-1060 ARABIAN GULF (Sept. 24, 2020) - Sailors assigned to the Navy coastal patrol ship USS Whirlwind (PC 11) set up a target for an aerial gunnery drill during the joint air operations in support of maritime surface warfare (AOMSW) exercise in the Arabian Gulf, Sept. 24. Combined integration operations between joint U.S. forces are regularly held to maintain interoperability and the capability to counter threats posed in the maritime domain, ensuring freedom of navigation and free flow of commerce throughout the region's heavily trafficked waterways.
